I am an Applied Research Scientist at NTWIST and a graduate researcher at the University of Alberta, specializing in AI-driven decision systems for industrial applications.
At NTWIST, I design and deploy machine learning and optimization solutions that automate and optimize operations in process and discrete manufacturing. My work focuses on reinforcement learning, self-supervised learning, and large-scale optimization to improve operational efficiency, throughput, and system performance.
My academic research centers on applying reinforcement learning, probabilistic modeling, and optimization to complex industrial decision-making problems, with an emphasis on scalable and reliable AI systems.
I hold an MSc in Mathematical Sciences (Machine Learning specialization) from AMMI – African Masters in Machine Intelligence and a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Khartoum. I have previously conducted deep learning research at Mila – Quebec AI Institute and worked at Brown University’s Robotics Lab.
