Standard install failing with either code 14 or Get an app top open this 'Program" link

Hi all,

I am trying to get winapps to run and something is going wrong. I have followed the instruction steps to the letter, everything is completely default. The docker-compose.yaml is identical (and actually is) the repo version. But still the install script fails.

The following command runs perfectly and gives me the vm.
xfreerdp /u:"MyWindowsUser" /p:"MyWindowsPassword" /v:127.0.0.1 /cert:tofu

The install script tries to run the following (extracted with set -x).
xfreerdp /cert:tofu /sound /microphone +home-drive /cert:tofu /d: /u:MyWindowsUser /p:MyWindowsPassword /scale:100 +auto-reconnect +home-drive '/app:program:C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe,cmd:/C type NUL > \\tsclient\home\.local\share\winapps\FreeRDP_Connection_Test && tsdiscon' /v:127.0.0.1

Sometimes the script does not fail, and this popup is given.

Does anyone know what went wrong here?

I have started to use the flatpak, since the repo contained the wrong version., This still gives a timeout on the connection test.

explorer.exe does work.

try increasing the timeout in the config

Ok solved. freerdp version was wrong and the flatpak version worked, however that one could not access the home dir. Once that was fixed, all was done.
