Feature request - display the port being used by the connection.

Displaying the current port id would be helpful to avoid confusion when ESPConnect is open in multiple brpwser tabs. Maybe on the Device Info page...

• at the top with the device name - like "ESP8266EX on USB1"
• or under Connection / USB Bridge, like "Silicon Labs - CP2102(n) (0xEA60) on USB1"
• or beside the DISCONNECT button at the top of the page

Or even on the browser tab, as in "ESPConnect - USB0"

With Web Serial, browsers intentionally hide the real device path (e.g. COM3, /dev/ttyUSB0) for privacy and security reasons. We can only access USB metadata like the bridge name and VID/PID (e.g. CH343 (1A86:55D3)), not the OS-level port identifier.

ESPConnect can display a friendly label based on the USB bridge and VID/PID, but it cannot reliably show the real system port name.

Thanks for the response - I haven't looked at the code and assumed this would be simple, even just a matter of capturing the text of the ports dropdown item the user selects. I'm a dev but have no idea how Web Serial works, but from your comment I assume it handles the ports dropdown internally and it can't be touched. But I will take a look, and if I can see a way to make this work I'll do a pull request.

If it's just not possible for the app to know the port id, a simple text field where the user can type in their own label would work - like sticking a post-it on a device lol.
