I work on the open source Rust toolchain as a member of the Rust Compiler and Infrastructure teams. My work spans many areas: improving performance of the compiler, developing and maintaining bots and infrastructure tools, managing mentorship programs (GSoC), running Rust surveys or doing governance.
This blog post can give you an idea about the kinds of contributions I do (you can find more on my blog).
A sample of upstream Rust projects that I contribute to:
- bors - I developed and maintain bors, the merge queue bot that is used to merge all pull requests in the main
rust-lang/rustrepository. - Rust Compiler Benchmarking suite - I am the primary maintainer of the Rust Compiler Benchmarking suite, which tracks the performance of the Rust compiler over time. I also perform performance triage of new compiler pull requests to spot performance regressions.
- Rust toolchain - I maintain
bootstrap, the build system that is used to build all Rust components (compiler, standard library, etc.), Rust's CI infrastructure and a tool calledopt-dist, which optimizes the Rust compiler using PGO and BOLT.
I also maintain several Rust crates:
- cargo-pgo - CLI tool for optimizing Rust programs with PGO and BOLT
- cargo-wizard - CLI tool for quickly configuring Cargo projects for fast performance, fast build times or minimal binary size
- rust-delegate - crate for method delegation
By sponsoring me, you help me spend more time on maintaining and improving Rust. Thank you!
