To improve user experience it would be great to somehow show that there are background tasks happening with information at which stage that task is right now. Let's say I train the nlu manually or update my system. Sure the icon is rotating but as a user I'm still a bit in doubt if that rotation will stop when the process is finished and when I move around I don't see it anymore. One thing to make it clear would be to block the ui and put in some dialog with information about the current process. But I would rather prefer some indicator that is present even after navigating somewhere else. It should disappear again when the task is done and be expandable to show more information about its current stage.
