Nice template.. except for the convex / clerk part

I tried this out.. thanks for the effort..

Had never tried clerk and convex before.. hated it.

in the process of moving all this to MySQL now.

Nice template though.. just the whole convex / clerk thing seems like so much more trouble than it's worth.

If you already have the ability to work with this level of sophistication in web development i wonder how many can't also manage a database?

I guess I'll still try the polar part soon but wonder if that's not yet another thing this could do without.

Just curious how many others feel the same about the clerk/convex approach.

I would have loved if clerk was replaced with better auth but everything else is fine for me. But I still found this starter kit useful and saved alot of my time.
