Tracks 3 and 4 in your input sample are metadata tracks which are what ffmpeg is actually complaining about. It isn't very good about giving proper errors. :

As far as I can tell these are probably related to the following google patent: https://patents.google.com/patent/US11595580B2/en
Which just stores movement data for the device or other things in metadata with the video to assist in editing it later. I don't know what the intended use-case of the motionphoto thing is, but if it's the same as it was on Samsung phones back when they still supported it, it's probably the position / angle data of the camera that's used when viewing it on the phone again so you can rotate the phone in space and view the multiple angles of the object again.

I'm not exactly sure what you're wanting to do, but if you just want the full video from the (original) file in an mkv with the audio, you just need

ffmpeg -i "20260320 (Original).mp4" -c:v copy -c:a copy test.mkv
which will produce an mkv file with just those two tracks without reencoding, or tell fastflix to ignore everything but the first two tracks. The MPU file has two video tracks (the second is just a single frame despite what mediainfo says) and the two metadata tracks, but there's no

Hello @Hankuuuu can you try going to the Data tab and make sure nothing there is selected that would not work in the new output container type?

I have added data passthrough recently, but can be a problem if mixing containers.

That's a great question! It confused me too at first, around the motion photo feature. After trying the Google Camera, I found their AI seems trained to pick certain "classic" moments and save a short 2–5 second silent clip in metadata automatically. When I view the photo in Google Apps, WhatsApp, some apps, the clip plays automatically. My friend posed very seriously for a shot last week, but a second earlier they were doing something super silly. When we were at their party yesterday night, we showed them, and it made them laugh and have so much fun for everyone.

But Google saves them as HEVC videos at around 15–30 Mb/s in the EXIF. If you keep all videos day by day, you end up needing more and more storage. That's where FastFlix helps—batch compression is quick and easy, basically a lifesaver for me. 😁

@cdgriffith Sure, this is what I did after following your suggestion. I tried four combinations—selecting none, only the top one, only bottom one, and both. So far, it's still showing an error. Currently, I'm using v6.0.1, and everything works fine, yes, it could be, as you mentioned the data passthrough (as the v6.0.1 and the earlier versions all work fine). But I don't want to miss out the new features you've added in the new version—they're really cool, and my friends feel the same way. 😍
