Media clips show as missing (loading spinner), refresh does not help

Bug

Media clips frequently show as missing — they display a loading spinner instead of the actual content. Refreshing does not resolve the issue.

Steps to reproduce

1. Add media clips to the timeline
2. Some clips show a loading spinner instead of previewing the content
3. Refreshing the page does not fix the issue

Expected behavior

All media clips should display their preview/thumbnail correctly after loading.

Actual behavior

Clips show a perpetual loading spinner (seen in the blue-bordered clips on the timeline). The issue persists across refreshes.
