I really like this rule! I’ve even started using it in my personal life. Whenever I want to call someone, I give them a quick “calling in 5 - my car broke down 🫠” |

I really like this Rule and it's awesome. However, Rules are also made to be broken and this is one I break all the time. I always tailor my communication to the person. If I'm talking to someone who's busy a lot, has a lot of meetings or has voiced that they really like to be warned. Then I will do so. For me, I like just being called out of the blue and getting blind-sided. Context, context, context |

This rule is great, since it gives some context to the other person prior to the call, so they aren't surprised when you call them |

I like this rule to give a warning before calling! It is useful because you can have similar tasks, so it is best to clarify which one we're going to talk about - people always want context. |

I think giving someone a heads-up before a call is a great idea. Giving context is a great addition to ensure that the recipient is on the same page before you even get in a call with them. |

Warn then call is one of the best rules at SSW - It encourages people to reach out when needed rather than silently being blocked. This rule is one of the reasons SSW'ers are able to help each other out so well! |

Do you warn someone before calling them? A warm call can be a game-changer, prioritizing their attention and ensuring they're prepared to discuss important topics.
