We should see what it would take to support single-port buses (single phase or neutral).
Currently buses must have at least two phases like "an" or "ab". This makes reasoning about "voltages of a bus" easy as it is the potential differences between ports of the same bus. Other software however, like PowerFactory and OpenDSS support single port buses. Also some data sources like the brazilian BDGD also allow it. Supporting single port buses would make the conversion to/from these formats easier.
