This 4x4 RGB LEDs Matrix is controlled by an Arduino nano. With a use of 3 TLC5940 connected in daisy chained providing Arduino the capability to extend PWM output pins. In other words, more controls to LEDs; dimming, coloring, flashing, and etc.
